Open day, at the beginning of November, went down a storm with local families of Goole with a good turn out of parents and children alike.
The Mayor of Goole was happy to cut the ribbons and "announce The Raising Rounded Rascals Centre open for business".
The setting will be providing a timetable of sessions to promote parental attachment and bonding, reduce isolation and postnatal depression and raise young children's developmental attainment.
Designed and delivered by qualified teacher, Abi South, who has already been providing sessions from local venues in Goole and Snaith, she specialises in family support and early years education.
Sessions are on a pay as you go basis, so no need to book a whole term or commit to a monthly fee (although monthly membership packages are available).
Classes include family stay and play sessions, Sensory classes, baby massage and music and movement classes, and are already being booked into the new year.
Abi is passionate and committed to giving the families of Goole a warm and welcoming place to share their parenting experiences, ask for support and demonstrate play and learning ideas for little ones to try at home too, saying "being a new parent has always been isolating but it's hit even harder during the pandemic, with many families and youngsters being too anxious to leave the home or socialise with others. The concern here is how this will impact on the number of postnatal depression cases and on the social development of our youngest learners too.
Now, the people of Goole have a safe place to tackle all these issues and develop their own little support network of like minded families as they play and grow together".
Having a background in both health and education, Abi really does have the skillset to support these needs and is eager to offer help and advice in any way she can. This is already becoming evident with her existing visitors with many positive reviews being added to her Facebook and Instagram pages.
Always listening to what her clients are saying, she has already amended the timetable to meet their demands and has also started offering birthday party packages to compliment her current services.
Abi is a proud mum of two and will continue to strive for the best play and learning opportunities for the families of Goole, as she would her own children, Alexander aged 11, Noah aged 5.
